Iconic’ is one word that can be used to describe the charming storybook home that’s nestled in EastSacramento, near Freeport Blvd. This house was built by famous architects Carr Jones & Doug Allinger who are known for their intricate and unique styles of homes built worldwide. They pride themselves on integrating home efficiency in to their design and that can be seen here in the wavy shape of the roof which transfers temperature insuch a waythat allows the home to be cool in the summertime and retain heat in the winter.The Hobbit House was primarily built from bricks that were sourced from the rubble of the 1906 SanFrancisco Earthquake coupled with wooden beams taken from old, decommissioned ships. From those beams hang rustic chandeliers, forged from antique ship anchors. Those are just some of the excitingdetails of this home and it was such a privilege to be hired to capture the media that will be used tomarket this home on VRBO, AirBnb, and other vacation home rental services! It was important for the owner of the Hobbit House that we accurately captured the mood, colors, and details of the home such as the Bay-Area transplanted sea grass in the front yard and the adjacent steam room inthe backyard, and she couldn’t be more thrilled with the results that we delivered!
